Samsung i8510 Primera 8 Megapixel Camera Phone
After Nokia and Sony Ericsson its time for Samsung to present its latest innovation the 8 Mega pixel Camera phone, the Samsung i8510 Primera. A smartphone runs on Symbian 9.3 OS with S60 UI. The phone comes with packed features more than any other phone has.
The Samsung i8510 Primera features a 16M color 2.8" QVGA display measuring 106.5 x 53.9 x 16.9mm in size. It has a 8 mega pixel camera censor with an autofocus and Xenon flash. It will also be able to record videos in QVGA resolution at 120 frames per second and DivX & Mpeg-4 playback support. The front camera will be for Video calling. The Primera will have 128 MB RAM with a dedicated 3D graphics accelerator and 16GB internal NAND memory. Some other features includes built-in Wi-Fi, GPS, TV-Out, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0, DLNA certified, 3G HSDPA support and a microSD card slot for expanding the memory.
As for the music the Samsung i8510 primera will have a 3.5mm audio jack supporting 2 stereo speakers with Dolby 5.1 surround audio and a FM radio. The primera will offer a 1200 mAh battery with a talk time of 6hrs and 280 hrs of standby-time. It will be available in two versions 8GB and 16GB like the Apple iPhone.
The announcement of Samsung i8510 Primera is expected in mid-August of 2008 with a rumored price tag of 780 Euro. Though the price is just a rumor but still its worth for a 8 MP camera phone and lots of features.
