Apple have announced the new 3G iPhone, with some more features added in the original iPhone. The phone features 3G connectivity which is tri-band and assisted GPS and to conserve battery life you can turn off the 3G radio. Also the headphone jack is no longer, instead of it now you can use any standard earphones you want. The original iphone memory capacity was only 8GB version and 16GB version came afterwards. But now, the 8GB version will be ship for $199 on a 2 year contract and the 16GB for $299 on 2 year contract. The 3G iPhone will be ship in two colors black & white only for 16GB version.
The new 3G iPhone in 22 countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US) and will be launched on 11th July. For the UK customers, O2 will offer the 3G iphone on Pay As You Go, it means you don't need to buy a minimum term contract. In the battery a slightly change has been done. The new 3G has 300 hours standby time as compared to original 250 hours and 10 hours of talktime , compared to the original 8 in 2G mode. The new iphone rear is totally made of plastic.
No changes have been made in the camera, but the bluetooth is still limited to a headset profile. No data transfer can be done and no MMS support. The pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
