Nokia Nanotechnology Phone
The University of Cambridge, Nokia with researches has designed a concept phone that uses Nanotechnology to enable flexible and stretchable materials. Morph, a joint Nanotechnology concept, developed by Nokia Research Center (NRC) and the University of Cambridge (UK) - was launched alongside the “Design and the Elastic Mind” exhibition, on view from February 24 to May 12, 2008, at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
Morph is a concept that demonstrates how future mobile devices might be stretchable and flexible, allowing the user to transform their mobile device into radically different shapes. The Morph allows users to twist it and form it into different shapes. The concept phone demonstrates some of the functions that nanotechnology can deliver, such as flexibility, transparent electronics, and surfaces that clean themselves. Nokia and Cambridge have an on-going collaborative effort in place to help advance the science behind cell phones.

Google and Dell Making Alienware Android Cell Phone
Dell and Google together are making a new mobile phone to run on the Android operating system, probably at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona that’s going on at the moment. Dell have tried to enter the mobile phone market once before but their range of PDAs was a complete flop. Dell have also recently acquired Alienware, the trendiest tech company in the world, an expert in Video, Gaming, and Audio, and a company crying out for a mobile phone.
- Classic Alienware eye catching design
- Large screen with high resolution
- Superb video gaming capability
- Fantastic Audio
- Built on the Google Android platform
It would have the stunning design to make an impression in a mobile market dominated by fashion phones, it would instantly be the coolest phone on the market, it would have the marketing muscle of Dell behind it to push it beyond its established niche and into the mainstream, and it would be the mobile gamer’s dream, just as video gaming on mobile phones is starting to enter the picture.
Smartphone Concept of Natural Organic and Moody
The Chute Smartphone is all about the natural, organic, and moody. It seems the word “tech” is synonymous with cold and stark. Metals, plastics, glass - they all evoke an ideal that some of us don’t want. Some of us want our devices to be warm, to have some semblance of nature. That feeling transcends deeper since it can affect our moods. The Chute is like any other normal Smartphone, powerful and functional. The outersurface however is designed out of bamboo, a high sustainable resource. Bamboo turns out to be lighter and stronger than plastic. It is totally biodegradable and far more Earth friendly in its production than plastics and metals.
